At Raventós i Blanc, the philosophy in the vineyard is one of maximum care for the balance of each plot and an obsession to understand the balance in order to promote the finest expression of each. Raventós i Blanc chose to leave Cava DO in 2012 in pursuit of a more focused terroir and quality program they call Conca del Riu Anoia. At Raventós, the winegrowers demonstrate 100% dedication to biodynamic agriculture and the result has been some of the finest sparkling wines of the world.
Blanc de Blancs is a sparkling wine marked by the typicity of its place of origin, the Vinya del Llac, a vineyard over 40 years’ old, which allows us to obtain a structured, fresh and complex sparkling wine.
Grape: Xarel-lo (40%), Macabeo (39%), Parellada (15%) and Malvasia de Sitges (6%)
Region: Conca del Riu Anoia, Catalonia
Viticulture and Winemaking: Gravity-led grape reception system at the winery. At each stage, the atmosphere is controlled with dry ice. Slow, low-pressure pressing. First fermentation is in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, separating varieties and soil types. Second fermentation is in the bottle and minimum ageing of 18 months with the lees in the bottles. The disgorging date is indicated on the back label.
