2022 Boulevard Napoléon Carignan

This wine is an exemplary example of what an under-rated variety Carignan is when planted in the correct spot and handled with care. It is deep ruby in colour, with ripe fruit and spicy notes on the nose. The palate is lifted with bright berries and is supple in texture.
 
Brings a breath of fresh air
Extremely mild spring period: the generous rainfall in March allowed the soils to recharge and the temperatures (sometimes very high) in May (a record since 1981) contributed to an early flowering. Our vineyards went through a very Mediterranean summer, but the vines proved to be resilient, accustomed to this heat. The face of the 2022 vintage changed in mid-August with the first Mediterranean episodes announced (100 mm of water). But this was without taking into account the return of dry and sunny weather from September, which accompanied us until the end of the harvest and allowed the latest areas to reach maturity. Generally speaking, the white and rosé wines reveal a beautiful aromatic freshness and the typicity of their grape varieties is well respected. The red wines express themselves with notes of fresh fruit and floral touches. 2022 is therefore a vintage dedicated to coolness and
technical skills. Elegance and finesse are the key words of this 2022 harvest!
