The Burrier family estates constitute one of the largest and most major properties in Southern Burgundy, which has been home to the Burrier family for nearly 600 years, tracing its origins back to Denis Burrier in 1469. Today, Frédéric-Marc Burrier is in charge of the Château and is one of the leading advocates for classifying the Pouilly-Fuissé region’s best climats (vine plots with their own microclimate and specific geological conditions) as Premier Crus. Macon-Milly-Lamartine 'Mont. de Cra' 2022
Milly-Lamartine is one of the most famous villages in Mâconnais for its high-altitude soils made of white limestone. Not surprisingly, this exceptional terroir of thin limestone produces top-class white Burgundies. 100% Chardonnay with notes of acacia flower, citrus fruit, pear, and saline touches. The palate is fresh and taut, with a tight, well-balanced texture.
Pouilly-Fuisse Chateau de Beauregar 2020
In conversion to organic farming, the 19 hectares of Château de Beauregard are spread over the 3 villages of Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly and Vergisson, making Pouilly-Fuissé Château de Beauregard highly representative of the appellation's typicity. 100% Chardonnay, fresh and mineral, with a honey and grapefruit finish. With age, the aromas become more complex and dense, toasted, a little buttery, and dry fruit hints.
Pouilly-Fuissé Chateau du Clos 2018
This 1er Cru vineyard was classified in 2020. The older vines were planted in 1936 whereas the average age of the Clos’ vines is around 50 years. The vines have been organically managed since 2009 and the wines were officially certified organic in 2013. Fine and complex, with a long, fresh, and salty finish, typical of a great white Burgundy. The Pouilly-Fuissé Château du Clos, produced for the first time in 2020, has a good ageing capacity and often reaches its best after 3 to 5 years.
Pouilly-Fuisse Vers Cras 2018
‘VERS CRAS’ is one of the 22 Premiers Crus recently classified, located on the Beauregard plateau. The vines were planted during the 70s and 80s and their topography is very convenient for Chardonnay, giving mineral, pure and salty wines. In its youth the ‘Vers Cras’ reveals a lively nose of apple, ripe citrus, seasoned vanilla oak and gentle spice that leads to a rich, concentrated and silky palate.
