2022 Chateau Les Maurinieres Cotes de Bordeaux

Bordeaux, France

"Here's a lovely, ripe, plush and fleshy merlot-based Right Bank Bordeaux from the generous 2022 vintage, with soft texture and loads of dark fruit. Oak is a minor feature , tannins are velvety and acids on the lower side, which, coupled with generous 15% alcohol, conspire to lend a full-bodied, creamy mouthfeel that will appeal widely. It's a rare Bordeaux that's pretty much ready to enjoy out of the gates, although another 2-3 years in the cellar will surely see positive development in terms of range of flavours." - 91 points John Szabo, MS

91 Points - Falstaff

Dark, baroque ruby red. On the nose there are notes of dried fig, dark chocolate, overripe blood orange, milk chocolate, oak. On the palate it is fruit-driven, with some juiciness, nice drive, then minimally loosely knit on the finish, old school.
