Galicia will change your mind about Spain. It will change the image that quickly fills your mind, the characterics you expect in your glass, and the potential of its vineyards. Let us introduce you to a selection of bottles that will do just that: Galicia Guide!

Galicia is a cool, maritime climate with rolling hills and dense, plush green countryside. Situated right above Portugal covering the northwest corner of Spain, Galicia's growing conditions largely cater to mineral-driven whites from light to fuller bodies, exotic notes of stone & orchard fruit, and clean-crisp acidity. Although rarer than whites in this region, the red wines from Galicia are gaining their deserved attention as well.

Vina Costeira, Lua Jazz Sparkling

100% Treixadura; the Queen of Ribiero. Straw yellow, clean and bright, with a constant series of delicate bubbles. On the nose, it has a complex aroma of ripe fruit, with notes of patisserie and fine lees. Second fermentation takes place in the bottle following the traditional method, laid on its lees for 15 months. Nowadays, it is the only sparkling wine made of Treixadura wine in the world.

*This limited edition sparkling wine is part of their solidarity project “Viña Costeira Rural Alzheimer”, in collaboration with AFAOR (Association of relatives of Alzheimer’s patients). All profits generated by Viña Costeira sparkling wines are donated to the association.

Vina Costeira, Treixadura 2023

A clean and bright, 100% Treixadura still wine, straw yellow with green reflections. Enhanced in the glass, it develops notes of white fruit, citrus peel and sweet spices. It is a well balanced and persistent wine with great body and a silky feel.

Vina Costeira, Meu Albarino 2022

100% Albariño, hand-picked and fermented in stainless steel vats. This Albariño pairs well with all types of seafood and fish, with its floral notes, fresh herbs, stone fruits and citrus peel. The palate is elegant and well-structured with refreshing acidity and a lasting finish.

Mauro Estevez 2021

Mauro Estevez, a blend of 75% Treixadura, 10% Lado, 10% Albariño, 5% Loureira, from the family operated vineyard in Ribiero covering only 2.5 hectares. Perfectly structured with an unctuous texture, it is still easy on the palate with a good level of acidity, and a long & fruity finish.

Godeval, Cepas Vellas 2022

From Valdeorras, this is 100% Godello. Only improving further with the passage of time, this monovarietal comes from the oldest vineyards of the winery. Aged on its lees for 5 months in stainless steel tanks, Cepas Vellas is a full bodied wine with clean & enveloping notes of ripe apple, melon, and pineapple, as well as fine herbs and clean minerality. It strikes a pleasant balance of volume and freshness.

Aba Solleira, Mencia 2019

"Healthy wines in a healthy environment". In Ribiera Sacra, Aba Solleira vineyards overlook the canyon full of steep slopes and the setting sun. The wine is produced following low impact and minimal intervention winemaking techniques. 100% Mencia and aged in tanks for 6 months on its lees. It is medium bodied, fresh, and has an intense profile of red & dark fruits, minerality and earth notes.
