Sales Representative (On-premise)

The CRU portfolio is comprised of winegrowers the world over who believe, above all else, that their wines speak of a place, of a year - of a ‘somewhereness.’  We have chosen to represent wines that capture the essence of the vineyard they come from. They have chosen to represent people who, at the end of the day, they would like to break bread with, around a table with their wine flowing.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with restaurants, hotels, bottle shops and private clients in your territory

  • Collaborate on sales strategies

  • Participate in marketing activities, such as producer visits and trade shows

  • Identify and leverage market trends

  • Initiate training and tasting events with licensee customers and their teams

  • Have a thorough understanding of the portfolio, including growers’ stories and individual wine details

  • Develop new business: onboard new licensee customers

  • Conduct LCBO visits and store staff training sessions

  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the sales and office teams

 

Who You Are

  • Passionate about wines from around the world and excited to tell the stories behind them

  • Comfortable building relationships, opening new accounts, and following up consistently

  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage your territory independently

  • Curious, coachable, and open to feedback to grow with the company long-term

  • Knowledgeable about Toronto’s dining scene and eager to stay current with new openings

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of on-premise wine sales experience in Ontario

  • WSET Level 2 or higher, or CMS certification required

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle

  • Smart Serve Certified

  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English

  • Comfortable with cold outreach and prospecting

  • Ability to lift/move a case of wine

  • Computer literate

  • Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as clients' needs require

  • Must reside in the GTA

 

Compensation & Details

  • Commensurate with experience

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, with flexibility as required

  • Work location: On the road (GTA), Access to Toronto-based office
